SWTOTD SWTOTD 22 - Silent Bob Speaks 4/27/2005 11:43:00 AM | Zeroplate Kevin Smith posted on his View Askew website a review of Revenge of the Sith that should give most of us out there a little bit of hope. I don't trust it when someone like Spielberg says "George really hit the nail on the head this time" or whatever because those guys have seemingly no perspective and like to scratch each other's backs. Kevin Smith, on the other hand, while obviously in Lucas' good graces, hasn't been shy in calling Phantom Menace a turd, or ripping on the the dumber parts of the saga. So, he got to see an advance digital screening of the flick, and what did he have to say: ""Revenge of the Sith" is, quite simply, fucking awesome. This is the "Star Wars" prequel the haters have been bitching for since "Menace" came out, and if they don't cop to that when they finally see it, they're lying." Now, he could be wrong, and frankly I don't really trust his creative choices a lot of the time, but I do trust him as a fat, bearded fan. He's close to my heart in that regard, so let's just hope he's right. I didn't read the rest of his review because he goes into big spoiler territory, but it sounds like we are on the right track.
