SWTOTD SWTOTD 23 - Mayday, Mayday 5/1/2005 10:18:00 AM | Zeroplate It's the first of May, which means we are now on the same calendar page with the celebration of the Battle Of Puebla in 1862, the release of J-Lo's Monster In Law, and the Agnes Scott Commencement ceremony with Hilary Clinton. Oh, and Star Wars. With the turn of the calendar page, excitement (and marketing opportunities) is ramping up. Flipping between the premiere of Marvel's tv-dumped Man-Thing movie last night (don't bother) and the Cartoon Network, I saw at least half a dozen Star Wars related commercials for everything from the movie itself to Cheetos. There's a very good possibility that all of this is going to lead to another Star Wars Overkill moment for me, during which I will say ENOUGH and put myself on another Star Wars sabbatical. Then again, Grand Moff Tarkin is playing at the Masquarade on the 15th, so I will have to lift the ban at least by then. Back to Top {0} Comments
